Today The Vampire Diaries Cast (Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Candice King, Kat Graham, Matt Davis, Michael Malarkey and Zach Roerig) and Creators (Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson) appeared on stage at the San Diego Comic Con for a Q&A panel with the fans. And it was confirmed that Season 8 will indeed be the show’s last, as many of us had already heard. There was also a press release released that confirms the final season will have 16 episodes.
