You said it, girlfriend, it was an ok episode. But we know that is always this way, right? One good, one ok. One good, one ok…..
It didn’t wow me either. Jumped around too much. At least someone finally told Elena the human vampire thing ultimately doesn’t work. After tonight I think the big twist is going to be Damon takes the cure for Elena, who doesn’t take it for Damon. Sort of a Romeo and Juliet thing.
It is a shame the chose to make Bex always hate on Elena and do the girl squabbling, they have great friend chemistry.
Only vampires that can take the cure are those who have killed a hunter so elena will get what she wants and they will make klaus take it
C everyone there.s nothing to be worry about on this actor Ian Somerholder is just wanted to all of you getting worry about him getting dead but for ian somerholder is not enough so relax few ppl ok is nothing to be worryed about ian is a strongest guy so be cool and enjoy the beautiful and famous show ok take care
I actually enjoyed a lot about the episode.
Damon was acting more himself then he has in a long time, loved the convo b/w him and Elena. Loved when she was asking him to take it and grow old with her.. and he said “thats Stefan not me”. Damon doesn’t want anything to do with being a human, and that is very in character to me.
The Bex/Elena stuff was good too. I like that they are showing how desperately she wants to be human and how insecure she is that everyone is still trying to stab her in the back. This girl is a great actress.
Caroline and Klaus were really sweet. Even though I think she was playing him just so he would save her, there was still a lot of truth to what she said to him.
So Shane is using Bonnie because now without him she will go crazy,, He’s a piece of work. I still dont understnad the cure.
He said anyone that helped Silas would be brought back to life, but everyone is talking about it like it is a bottle of tequila you pass around and whoever wants it can take it. Dont quite get it because I dont think that is how it goes at all.
Anyway it wasn’t breath stopping, but I felt like there was a lot of character change and people are really starting to think about whether they will take the cure or not.
Maybe Jeremy and this new hunter succedd in killing Silas. Was it the witches created The 5 to find the cure give it Silas and then cure him, that would be an good way to end this story.
anyway not a jaw dropper but a good setup episode for the next 2….

i actually really enjoyed the episode. I loved the storyline between Caroline/ Klaus/ Tyler, seeing Klaus get so emotional over Caroline was really great. Caroline has to be one of my favorite characters.
I LOVED that Damon was staying true to himself this episode “i can’t think of anything more miserable” that line blew me away ! Also is Stefan starting to get feelings for Rebekah? it seems like he is… hm. I can’t wait till next weeks episode as per usual -.-
I call this a “seed planting” episode…it was written to set up what is to come. I loved it but it left me with a ton of questions which was the point of it.
@Kate I agree..they act like any vamp in the world can just take this cure. And they don’t even know what “it” is and there are always consequences to magic and they haven’t considered any of this.
And as usual the only one who has doubts and doesn’t trust any of this for face value is Damon and no one listens. I don’t know when they will learn that Damon is ALWAYS right even if he doesn’t go about things in the best way.
Caroline and Klaus was great but too bad that already happened between them. I wish it would have went a little further just for shits and giggles…
And I want Jeremy to be a BAD ASS and he is disappointing me!
And one more thing…Prof Shane is batshit crazy and he spins an awful good BS story that everyone is just eating up. Do they really believe he knows all this stuff cuz his dead wife told him while they were in the bottom of a magical well??? I know Damon doesn’t believe it but where are everyone else’s brains?
I think Silas compelled Shane to believe his wife was there. Feed Silas blood and he wakes a bit and tries to use humans to get out.
@Melissa I like your idea that Silas somehow manipulated Shane. I don’t think he ever was or is a bad person. I think he is nuts and something made him that way so I think you’re on the right path.
Also just gotta say that the best monologue of the epi was Rebekah rating everyone’s usefulness and saying Damon was there because he had a nice behind!!! I LMAO
Rite on katerina LMAO too about the whole Rebekah saying shat she said during this whole episode she told it like it is I liked that. And Damon saying he would be miserable as a human ouch. I’m scared for the entire cast next week there’s no telling who mite not make it back from that island. Can’t wait to watch and see.
The safest people are Damon,Elena and Stefan. Even if one dies, they’ll be resurrected because without them there is no show. Shane did say Expression could bring back the dead, and that struck me as a big hint as to what Bonnie might be doing. And doing it could kill her. I do see them killing off Jeremy and Bonnie bringing him back.
@Katerine – the second Shane said you had to give the well blood I figured it was actually feeding Silas, not the well. We’ve seen Damon make a fake world for Rose, so Silas could surely make Shane see his dead wife.
There Is still so many questions unanswered: Where Is Hayley?? Who’s that guy that went to Shane’s house and was compelled to kill himself?? This new hunter, how does he know so much about Damon and his love for Elena?? What Is this 3rd sacrifice that Damon & Shane were talking about??
Anyway I thought Rebekah was amazing In this EP and I really think Stefan Is better off with her. They want the same thing and they have great chemistry together.
I’m heartbroken for Damon and Elena, but at some point I knew their relationship was going to face obstacles. I also felt that Damon’s point of view about the cure Is still very premature and I think It will grow on him. I really think Damon & Elena should be together In the end.
Say whatever you want about Damon, but he’s the only honest character of all of them, and from the beginning he saw Shane’s true colors.
