I know that they like to kill off characters and all… but can we please keep Caroline on the show?!?!? We already had to worry about her being gone at the beginning of the second season. Hey! Maybe that’ll be TVD’s thing to make viewers worry about Caroline at the beginning of each season.
I didn’t like it very much. The season opener didn’t feel like TVD, it felt like True Blood with all the [SPOILER] sex, drugs, and blood. Oh, and also the partying. It just didn’t feel authentic enough for me.

Apart from a few party scenes from season one which showcased Jeremy’s drug addiction and relationship with Vicky, there havent been many “wild teenage parties” most have been school or community functions and it wasnt the same.

the scene between Elena and Stefan was needed……it was all said this summer if everyone was reading carefully that the Vampier Diaries was going to be very different this year ….growing up and moving away from the hightschool stuff like the last two years….so for those of you that didn’t like it because of the change are going to be very disappointed ….it’s time to move on to adulthood…the deeper side of things…this is how great series continue…”great show VP” I hope it continues in the right path…..

This was a great opening. So much happened!! I mean Bonnie was in ONE scene but she did great. Caroline and Tyler-IT’S ABOUT DANG TIME. Matt…eh, they could have done more with his character-I felt like he was a filler. Jeremy was awesome. I’m SO PISSED AT STEFAN FOR KILLING ANDY. I never liked Dandy, but that destroyed Damon. It was sad to see such a kind character like Andy go. That was just so…EVIL. And amazingly interesting. I like the new bad Stefan, he’s super interesting. If they turn him good again (which I hope they do) I hope he’ll have some of that magnetism that he had in the premiere. I hate the mayor. Elena and Stefan’s phone call was really sweet, but I’m still a die hard DELENA fan!

he killed andy to prove his point, and i feel bad for damon but he was just using her idky he cared so much.. maybe bc he lost that connection? he’s still in love with elena, but i don’t really see it.. except the necklace part
For the record in season 1 this show was about the drinking and drugs and parties lol so it wasnt that drastic to see i was just suprised jeremy was back at smoking again but then again the reason he went to drugs before was because the death of his parents and all the drama he was going thru.

there you go Damon kills Lexi and now Stephan kills Andy now they are even :( I love Delena but the way stephan cares that deeply about Elena it just kills me!!!
I get the feeling Delena is never happening. Show is big on teasing things that never pan out. I want them together, but see no signs of Elena’s Stefan obsession ending. They should stop trying to sell it as a triangle when it’s clear all she wants is Stefan. Premiere was ok, Delna fan or not I like the call from Stefan at the end, but it wasn’t a stunning opener. They never really use high school like Buffy did, I sort of wish they had skipped it ahead a couple years.
I LOVED the season premiere! I’m enjoying the darker side of Stefan, as well as his inner fight between good and evil. Caroline and Tyler…it’s about freakin’ time! Loved the intimate scene between them. I’m enjoying watching them grow up from high school kids to more adult scenes. I didn’t like Alaric moving out. I think it was good for him to live there with Elena and Jeremy. Talk about growing up!…Jeremy looks VERY good and I like his character expanding. I do wish Bonnie had been included more. Damon…LOVE his character the most! The bath/bubbles scene..Ian is a FANTASTIC Damon..all cocky and sarcastic! When Damon puts the necklace on Elena…the emotion in that scene was fantastic!
So far, I’ve watched the first episode 5 times. I’m ready for a 6th, 7th, …..
I hope that Klaus gets to make his hybrid army! I love the part of the preview where Stefan tells Klaus “The reason you kept me around,is so you can make a hybrid army of slaves”- Stefan (to Klaus). Then Klaus says, “Their not slaves, Comrads”.-Klaus.
has anyone ever read the book “The Lichens” I have a feeling that at some point Vampire diaries will head that direction….. will be very interesting as to how many of these “warewolves ” will be found and participate in Klaus’s attempt at a hybrid army!!!!
