To Our Mystic Falls Messenger Readers & Friends

mak-and-me2Yesterday, our sweet friend MaryAnn, lovingly known as Mak, passed away. Most of you knew her on Twitter as @mak75231. I felt like I needed to reach out to all of her readers of her Vampire Diaries recaps she did on Vampire Diaries Online. In August of 2013, Mak was diagnosed with cancer, and after several months of treatment, and then learning that the cancer had spread, she lost her fight. I am extremely saddened by her passing. Mak was a very bright light in the TVD fandom, and someone I was able to call a very dear friend. I had the opportunity to spend time with her right before she was diagnosed, she will be terribly missed and the time I spent with her will be cherished. Please take this time to say a prayer for her family (who was by her side until the end), all of her friends, and the people whose lives she touched. Mak really enjoyed writing the Mystic Falls Messenger recaps, and I know that many of you enjoyed them as well. Thank you so much for your support, and for those of you that have sent messages of condolences, I appreciate you all so much. xoxo Ruthie

  1. Hi Ruthie,

I am so saddened to hear of this, Mak was one of my favourite TVD tweeters and would always have me in fits of laughter with her witticisms. So sad that her brightness and sparkling wit have been dimmed. I can promise you that her presence will be dearly missed.

Sending my warmest love and wishes to you all,

    Shona
