Thanks to TVLine, we have some scoop for the last half of the final season of The Vampire Diaries. Read below!
First things first: Executive producer Julie Plec has “no update” on Nina Dobrev’s potential return before the series ends in May, citing “availability” as a major hurdle in the process. What she can promise, however, is an immediate “strain on the fun of [the brothers’] relationship. As Stefan finds himself more tempted by the darkness around him, Damon’s going to become frustrated by the road his brother wants to travel down.” Stefan’s relationship with Caroline will also be “profoundly tested,” leading to a number of “dark, sad, powerful moments” for the engaged couple. Meanwhile, Matt and his dad will continue working on their relationship (“either towards forgiveness or just a sense of moving forward in the right way”), and Bonnie will come to realize that “there’s still magic within her — it’s just a matter of in what form is she accessing it.”
