Today the People’s Choice Awards Nominations were announced, and The Vampire Diaries, cast and fans ended up with 5 nominations in 4 categories! So congrats are in order, and we have from now until January 9, 2013, when the show will air on CBS to vote our little hearts out!

First Look! Olympic Champion Gabby Douglas Guest Stars on The Vampire Diaries!

TV Guide has our First Look at Gabby Douglas on The Vampire Diaries. Gabby will appear in episode 7, scheduled to air November 29th (so that lets us know we are coming back after a break for Thanksgiving!!)

Olympic all-around gymnastics champion Gabby Douglas saw another dream come true: She landed a cameo on The Vampire Diaries, the CW drama she gave a shout-out to after snagging two gold medals last summer. Douglas appears on the November 29 episode to help Caroline (Candice Accola) prep for the Miss Mystic Falls pageant.

TV Guide has launched their Fan Favorites Cover Poll and The Vampire Diaries is on the list against 9 other TV shows! Here are the details below, plus US fans are eligible to enter into their sweepstakes to win a selection of autographed issues of TV Guide Magazine! The Vampire Diaries has been nominated in TV Guide Magazine’s third annual Fan Favorites Cover Poll. Voting began Monday on TV Guide’s Facebook page and will run through Sunday, October 28 at midnight/PT (3am/ET on Monday, October 29). The winning show will appear on the cover of TV Guide’s Dec. 10 double issue.  Fans may vote as often as they’d like, but they must “Like” TV Guide’s page and will need to go through a Capcha authentication process each time.  International fans may vote in the poll, but they are sadly ineligible for the sweepstakes.

As we mentioned before, The Vampire Diaries cast and producers will be appearing at the 2012 San Diego Comic Con this Saturday, July 14th. The following will be appearing: EPs Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson, along with cast, Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Michael Trevino, Zach Roerig and added last minute Steven R. McQueen. The Secret Circle Joins The Vampire Diaries For Eyecon March 2 – 4, 2012 in Atlanta, GA

As we announced in our convention post, Eyecon Celebrity Conventions will be having another Vampire Diaries convention in Atlanta, GA this March 2 – 4. But now The Secret Circle cast will be joining the convention, with the first guest announced, Britt Robertson. More TSC guests are expected to be added!

And yes, this year I will be attending…as a fan ONLY. I am so excited to go and re-connect with the people I met last year and meet new fans as well!

Atlanta, GA – EyeCon Celebrity Autograph Conventions has announced the addition of Britt Robertson who plays the lead, Cassie Blake on the hit new CW show The Secret Circle. Britt has been confirmed to appear at the March 2-4, 2012 fan gathering in Atlanta, Georgia. This will be Britt’s first ever personal autographing appearance and she will participate in all Saturday and Sunday events including a Q&A session, autograph and photo op sessions, the Saturday Evening Banquet and “Scary Movie” party! The reception has been so positive by fans for her appearance that EyeCon is currently working to add more The Secret Circle guests!

Guests already confirmed to appear are Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore), Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy Gilbert), Zach Roerig (Matt Donovan), Robert Pralgo (Mayor Lockwood) and Arielle Kebbel (Lexi Branson). EyeCon is known for not only providing the most personal time with the stars, but also bringing in a phenominal lineup of guest stars and is currently working on adding even more TVD guests!
