but, we already knew all this about Elenas parents. That’s not new…I expected more…Awww..I’m so impatient! :)

  • cherish says:

    It sounds really good though

  • Caroline says:

yep, i guess, still it is about Elena. Everything always is. I know that she is the main character but i want Klaroline now! :D <3 <3 <3 :)

  • Melissa says:

I am with @Caroline on this one, we know they are dead so what is the big deal? Unless there is some huge reveal, like Ric jumped in front of their car (thanks eternity ring) or Elena is given a magical choice to die with them or be saved by Stefan like she originally was…I don’t really see a flashback as a great way to spend a finale. A great finale is that Klsus finally dies by Elena’s hand and the overused, under written originals are gone for good.

  • Nate says:

My problem w the Originals is that Kol & Finn are underused. Plus it appears we’ll never flash back to see why Klaus had them in coffins in the first place.

I do still enjoy this show, but I feel the writing is becoming stale if all they can do is introduce interesting characters and kill them off 2 episodes later without any real development.

Also, I wish David Anders (Uncle/Daddy John) was appearing in this episode. It would be nice to see how he was before his brother & in-law died.

  • Steffi says:

I am actually EXCITED about this!! I was saying he other day how I would really love to see the car crash with Stefan saving her. Also OMG I CANNOT believe the next episode isn’t till 19th. Anybody know why?? Also, I feels so sad about Delena & Stelena. Cuz Stelena is like OMG but Damon cares so much about Elena… but then Stefan would be alone :( I think the whole Alaric killing spree is a teensy bit over the top but still interesting :P Also, the reason I’m kind of leaning towards Delena is because Stefan went on the rampage.. and that scene where Stefan is kidnapped and Damon and Elena are in the rain and he says like ‘i know we have to save him and stuff’ I think that’s a better relationship seeing as he cares bout Elena but even though taking Stefan out f the picture would be easy, he cares so much for her, and she cares about Stefan.. :( Last thing, I think it is TRAGIC!! When this whole show comes to an end(it better not lol) One is going to either: end up alone, they all end up alone, one or 2 dies, she becomes a vamp or some crap and bang. One person will not get the girl… :(

  • cherish says:

Haha I have no idea why, given a choice, Elena would want to have died back then? I don’t think it will take up the whole episode, but I think it’s important because a lot of season three has been Elena’s own character development. I’m sure it’ll be a powerful scene too, which is always good for a finale.

I kind of feel like there have been a lot of other useless characters introduced on this show before, like the two girls in S2 (who both died), several of the tomb vamps, Jules and her friends, that chick who hit on Alaric when they went to Duke that one episode….Kol and Finn are the least of it really.

  • Melissa says:

@cherish, since that car wreck, Elena’s life has been total chaos and bizarre. When Stefan pulled her out of the water itnwas like she went through the looking glass. So i could see someone with warped perspective like Esther zapping Elena back to that moment and telling her she can keep the bizarre life and be the new Elena who is an orphan that falls for vampires and faces dark paths, or go back to being the old Elena she stopped being when Stefan saved her. And Elena finally getting to face the death she always begs to get. Here is is girly, you can die and stop being the danger to your friends, or you can finally reach out for life. The first time you had no say, Stefan and your dad chose for you…now you decide. She has to pick life or the show is over, but the choice would make her finally stop wanting to die because she sees self sacrifice as her only option instead of finding other ways.

  • Vee says:

Everyone on the show has become annoyingly whiney of late! From Klaus, Damon, Bonnie, Stefan, Elena, Rebekah, Carolin etc arghhhh!! I hope the last episodes are such a scream, cos the whole plot has been stagnant and ridiculous lately. The “kill Klaus” and “I’ll kill everyone you love” theme is getting old school. I figure the witches are gonna do some serious great showstopping! I think Rebekah, Matt,Tyler or Alaric’s going to die but i think she’s gonna take some revenge on brother Klaus first before it all blows over. I think Elena’s going to be single for a while or choose Stefan, it’s inevitable, it’s a bit of New Moon-ish and Eclipse-ish theme running here.
