vampire-diaries-kelly-hu Well the word on the net is that the very talented Kelly Hu is in Atlanta now shooting for The Vampire Diaries. You might recognize her from her role in The Tournament where she starred opposite Ian Somerhalder. Last night we were having a fun little exercise on Twitter with fellow affiliate Vampire-Diaries.net discussing our favorite episode thus far, when they tweeted:

@tvdnews “We interrupt this favorite episode squee-fest to say: Um, what’s this about Kelly Hu on Vampire Diaries…?”

Apparently they had stumbled upon at tweet from Ms. Hu herself:

@33Edge “1st time in Atlanta 2 shoot Vampire Diaries. Thot I was going 2 get mugged walking home from Whole Foods. That’s ok, I know karate.”

You might remember that there was a casting call a few weeks back for a character named Pearl. I can only assume that is the character she has been cast to portray. Can’t wait to see it! TV Fanatic is also reporting that she has been cast as well.
