Paul Wesley dishes on his character Stefan Salvatore

Paul Wesley plays good vampire Stefan Salvatore on the new CW series The Vampire Diaries. Here he explains how this story is similar and yet very different from Twilight. He also talks about Stefan’s brother Damon and the age difference between Stefan and his classmates.

I’m just getting into this show. I feel like it’s late even though the show is months from airing! I’m a big fan of Paul already and I love how he seems really into his character and he’s well-spoken.
Amy, I’m with you. After seeing the previews I’m 100% sold on Paul as Stefan.

I cant really get used to the fact that hes stefan.

I am very sorry but so far, this TV show looks like it is going to suck!
The characters are all wrong. Elena is suppose to be a very beautiful blonde with bright blue eyes, not a brunette. Also Stefan and damon do not look the part for this either. But they are closer than Elena. Also where the hell is Bonnie, meridith?
Bonnie has red hair. Meridith has brown. Caroline is not the blonde one, she is more like the person who is playing Elena in this TV show. I will not be watching is. I will stick to putting my nose into books this TV show is going to suck!

okay, first off, heather-Kay Riley calm the heck down!!!! I think the charecters they chose, exspecially Paul he is sooooo hot!!, are perfect. they may not be the same from the book but they are definatly the perfect personalities for their parts. I can see you read the books, which is great because I did to (probley 5 years ago and just re-read them)before the show, but the show is never like the book. I don’t think it is right to bash the show because it isn’t exact. I’m sorry but that just isn’t nice at all! and now i will get to what i was going to say. OMG this is so much better than Twilight. i forced all my Twihard fans to read The Vampire Diaries and they all agree it beats it BY FAR! Even Paul Wesley (sorry if i spelled that wrong) is hotter than Robert Pattinson AND Taylor Lautner combined. I LOVE <3 YOU PAUL WESLEY!!!
