Brace Yourselves For Another Hiatus
February 7th, 2010 | Posted by in Julie Plec | News | Vampire Diaries HiatusI’ve known about this since my set visit, but wasn’t given the go ahead to post about it. But now, since it’s pretty much been announced by all the other fansites and Julie Plec mentioned in the Episode 14 “Fool Me Once” preview video that the episode will be their “winter finale”, I’m sure it’s safe to go ahead and mention it. Yes, after Episode 14 that will air on February 11th, The Vampire Diaries will go on a 6 week hiatus, and will not return until March 25th. Trust me, I’m not happy about this either. These hiatuses are no fun at all. But the Winter Olympics will be going on and this will also ensure that the show will be on air during May Sweeps. Go ahead and get all your frustrations out in the comment section…

i understand that they have to break for the olympics, but 6 weeks! come on! that’s just torture…
I was convinced that after the last hiatus the serie go on until the season finale, what a disappointment!

I can understand about the olympics too…but its going to be torture to wait that long again…vampire diaries is the best show ..

This completely blows!!!!! Not enough episodes between hiatus’. Thank God New Moon comes out in March. We’ll have some sort of man candy fix.

How will I make it, first The Shadow Souls not in February but in March now the series too.I hate March right now.
Hate they’re going on hiatus just after three episodes. Dang them now i have to find something to take up my time that is for Vampire Diaries.

Seriously? Didn’t we just do this CW? If it meant that there will be more than expected episodes after the hiatus, well that would be one thing. But I think that’s not likely. This is absolutely beyond disappointing.
MY FRIENDS AND I WILL STILL BE HERE, HAVE TO ADMIT THEY ARE TAKING A CHANCE AFTER ONLY 3 NEW EPISODES. BUT ONCE THERE BACK ALL WILL BE FINE. JUST HOPE THAT THE LAST SHOW OF THE FIRST SEASON IS A 2 HOUR SPECIAL AND DOESN’T HAVE A HUGE CLIFFHANGER. THE SHOW OWES US DEVOTED FANS THAT AT LEAST.

Awwwh, this sucks =\ I absolutely love the vampire diaries, and to have another break is just torture.
However I have a question, forgive me if this is a dumb question but..since its a finale does that mean its longer than the normal showtime?
Well poo! I guess that just gives us something to really look forward too!! Which I don’t mind waiting, as long as I know I have something to wait for!! But CRAP anyway!! Argh!!
Guess I’ll get my fix of Ian on Lost…And that’s only a few episodes anyway. Oh Lordy!!

Nah, don’t think it will be longer than an hour. But keep in mind, they didn’t mention it on the CW site the last time. We found out via The Futon Critic and then there was a TV Guide article that came out with Julie Plec talking about the hiatus that solidified the rumor.
Dissapointment is a major understatement..after waiting for what felt like years last all we get is 4 freaking episodes? i need my vampire diaries..i honestly feel like crying :’(

Ok, seriously, they have got to stop going on breaks. I mean, they have only had 3 or 4 episodes so far and I was just starting to get back into the show. Ugh!…I am very upset! >:(

I can’t believe another break, this is torture. They better cook up some pretty steamy Damon & Elena action for when they come back again. Damon is HOT.

Are you kidding me. Will they at least be showing re runs or something. I can not survive that long with no vampire Diaries. This is just crazy. But the good actors at VD to deserve a break. So happy relaxing. Though I will be crying T_T
