Malese Jow Interviews with Global Townhall and MyFanBase
May 9th, 2010 | Posted by in Interviews | Malese JowHere are two Malese Jow interviews from Global Townhall and MyFanbase. Check out what Malese has to say about how she handles rejection in the business, her fitness and beauty tips, and she also discusses her music and why she loves platforms like Myspace to promote herself.
From Global Townhall:
Gabrielle Reilly: What advice can you offer people on emotionally handling the word “no” and the rejections that the entertainment industry (and life) throws at everyone sometimes?
Malese Jow: Well, to be in this business you can’t take rejection too personally. Coming to grips with how many people are going after the same roles will make you realize that it’s more like a business decision and nothing personal; and more than anything it should make you want to fight even harder for the next opportunity that comes along. Your mental “well-being” should never be based on your success in Hollywood, for it’s definitely a roller coaster!
From MyFanBase:
MyFanBase: What has been the best experience so far as a musician
Malese: I love everything about being a musician. From writing sessions, to performing on stage. The most surreal experience is having people respond so positively to your music. Singing along, doing covers on youtube, saying that the lyrics touched them or helped them through something – It’s such an amazing feeling.
MyFanBase: What do you think, as an artist, about platforms like MySpace?
Malese: I’m all about internet platforms! If it’s done in a classy and safe way, the internet is the best place to put yourself out there, and be able to get immediate feedback.
