The CW has released a video interview with Steven R. McQueen in prep for tonight’s highly anticipated episode. Enjoy! Also, EW has released a gallery of images from Steven’s goodbye party on his last day of filming. Check the rest out over at EW.
Today marks the final episode for our beloved and favorite baby bro, Steven R. McQueen. That’s right, Jerbear will be heading off to Art School in tonight’s episode, that I’m sure will require mega amounts of Kleenexes. Check out these video interviews, articles and tributes to McQueen. Steven, we at VDO wish you all the success and everything your heart desires, can’t wait to see what you’ll be up to next! You’ll always have our support. Much love!
Buzzfeed chatted with Steven, about what he’ll miss most about the fans:
“The instalove on Instagram! I talk to a lot of people on Twitter and Instagram, and I see a lot of them at conventions. They’re always very sweet.”
TVLine’s Photo Gallery of Jeremy’s Best Moments were great, with my favorite being this little tid bit of info!
SEASON 2: JEREMY & BONNIE’S (UNSCRIPTED!) FIRST KISS
“Beremy” apparently heated up much faster than originally planned, thanks to a little improv. McQueen recalls, “I talked to Kat [Graham] before we shot the scene, and I was like, ‘You know what? This would be a really cool moment just to kiss you.’ And she was like, ‘All right, let’s try it! Should we tell the writers?’ And I was like, ‘No, they’re going to tell us not to. Let’s just do it.’ So we ended up doing it, and they liked it, so they kept it. It was a cool moment as an actor to take a risk and have it pay off like that.”
On why Jeremy’s okay with leaving Bonnie: “The way I thought about it was Jeremy’s struggle throughout the show has been fighting to keep the people he loves safe and often times, he’s too weak to do so or there’s these supernatural creatures and there’s all these circumstances out of his control,” McQueen said. “So he’s constantly fighting to get his power back. With Bonnie, in the second-to-last episode, I’m finally able to save her. But for the character Jeremy, he’s so overwhelmed, and there’s so much going on that at that point, I think he knows there’s nothing else he can do to save Bonnie. At this point, she kind of has to help herself, so he’s just at a point of needing something else, needing some sort of distraction.”
