Thanks to TV Guide for contacting us with these new video interviews with Kevin Williamson, Zach Roerig, Sara Canning and Kat Graham from NYCC 2010. Kevin explains why he wanted Caroline to turn and Kat Graham talks Bonnie and Damon.

Thanks to Melissa of @TrueBloodDotNet for alerting me to her videos she posted on NiceGirlsTV. It is video from the press room of The Vampire Diaries cast and producers at New York Comic Con 2010. Lots of good spoilery stuff in these. Kind of goes along with the other videos I just posted from BuzzFocus, and the slip that was made. And that’s all I’m sayin’…

And I apologize, if you guys have already seen these, but this was the first I’d seen of them. They should have a video with Sara Canning and Kat Graham later today, I’ll update this post when they post it. UPDATED: Sara Canning and Kat Graham Video.

Buzzfocus has posted video interviews where they caught up with the cast and producers of The Vampire Diaries at New York Comic Con 2010. You can watch the videos on their site by clicking the following links. And if you pay close attention, and I may be reading too much into it, one of them (not saying who), lets something slip in one of the interviews.

Thank you so much to Robyn Ross for giving us a heads up on her video interview with Julie Plec And Steven McQueen via TV Guide. She caught up with them at the 2010 New York Comic Con. They talk about Jeremy’s relationship with Tyler and his inner struggle.

Warner Brothers has released official photos from The Vampire Diaries Cast and Producers appearances at the New York Comic Con. Great shots of fans from the signing portion of the event. And thanks to @StarryMag for the heads up!

Carina Mackenzie of Zap2It not only moderated The Vampire Diaries New York Comic Con Panel, she was able to have an exclusive chat with showrunners, Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson, where they discuss the future of the TVD fandom’s beloved “Delena”. Here Julie mentions when Kevin Williamson pitched the idea for Damon to snap Jeremy’s neck.

The neck-snapping incident that drove a wedge between the two former friends was arguably the most shocking moment we’ve seen yet in a series that surprises me in every act. Plec says that she and Williamson were having lunch when he pitched her the idea, and she gasped out loud. “My jaw fell on the floor,” she recalls. “That is the most messed up, twisted, ridiculous, horrible thing, that is awesome. And if I’m having a reaction, as someone who’s heard everything, and I lose my mind over it – it blew my mind.”

MY TVD NYCC EXPERIENCE

Here’s a few things you should know about me:

1) I’ve never been a fan of vampires (or any other supenatural media)

2) I’ve never been all that into teen shows (even when I was a teen — over 15 years ago)

3) I don’t own a computer and have never been on Facebook, MySpace, YouTube or any other social networking/media site other than my recent foray into Twitter

The first time I tried Twitter was about 6 months ago. Why you might ask; well, because I fell in love with a teen vampire show — TVD. What are the odds of someone like me ever even watching TVD? If you guessed zero to none, you wouldn’t be far off. But, some of the best things that happen in life are often the most unexpected.

So, here I am, a season into TVD, and not only am I still enamored with the show, but, I’ve fallen in love with the TVD twitterverse family. So when I heard TVD was coming to NYC for the NY Comic Con, I did something else I’ve never done before — I went to my very first fan event ever.

Thanks to Jarett from New York Post’s PopWrap for getting this amazing spoiler scoop (a flashback from 1492 Bulgaria) from The Vampire Diaries New York Comic Con panel and press room yesterday! Enjoy an excerpt below and head on over to PopWrap for the rest!

And thanks to Vampire Diaries Web for the above photo, they have tons more in their gallery on their site, go see!

Although we’ve heard about Katherine since nearly the beginning of the show, her exact backstory is still a giant mystery. But not for long. “[The ninth episode is] an origin tale – we go back in time and show how Katherine became who she is,” Kevin reveals. “We answer a lot of questions, we get into the Petrova line of it all. We flashback to 1492 Bulgaria, London, Romania. We show how she started and why she was necessary to the story of the vampires.”

But that won’t be the only time traveling season two serves up. “We have four [flashbacks] planned,” Kevin adds. And by Thanksgiving, fans will know exactly why Katherine returned to Mystic Falls thanks to a shocking moment akin to Damon’s tomb reveal in season one. “That all explodes over the next four episodes,” Julie teases.
