Jules and Kev give us the inside scoop on “Unpleasantville”….

Thank you again to IHVD again for letting me know about this video.

Just wanted to let you guys know that all The Vampire Diaries episodes are available for download in HD on Amazon. They are only $2.99 and the picture quality is amazing! I have all my episodes downloaded and saved on my computer so I can watch them any time I want! And I’m not ashamed to admit that I’ve probably watched each one of them around 3 or 4 times! :)

Check out this great recap from SB over at Off-Color TV!  Just keep in mind it’s full of spoilers from last night’s episode of The Vampire Diaries “162 Candles”, so if you haven’t watched it yet and don’t want to be spoiled come back later!  Here’s a couple of my favorite snippets and you can read the rest HERE.  And be sure and follow Off-Color TV on Twitter too!

On Lexi:

“She just brought so much balance to the show, and I think it was needing that.  Damon is crazy evil, which is fun but he’s been able to run rampant so far.  Stefan is crazy good, but he’s good to the point of being a little boring (sorry, Stefan, doesn’t mean we don’t love you!) the last few episodes.  Lexi was great because she was a nice mix, proving that maybe in another 200 years Stefan and Damon will be able to achieve some sort of balance in their lives.  She was good in that she drank blood bank blood rather than taking it from humans, and she was Team Stefan, after all, but she also had the fun side of Damon, as well as the snark, and was willing to be a scary vampire if she had to.  And she did have to, to keep Damon in check.  She was so pretty, but not in a generic teen queen way, which I liked, and she was a little sassy but in a cute way, and so sweet to Elena.  It was just nice to have such a multi-dimensional female who was just there, hanging out, not causing drama or tension (not purposely, anyway), and I LOVED her.  Have I said that already?  Whatever, I totally did.  And she and Stefan having a theme song, and it being “Wanted, Dead or Alive,” no less?  Awesome.”

On Bonnie’s Reveal of her secret:

“Running parallel to Stefan having Lexi to talk to, we had Elena feeling pretty isolated, especially when Bonnie revealed her witch secret to Elena.  That storyline appears to be moving now too, which is good, and you guys, can I just say that the witch reveal with the feathers was one of the most beautiful scenes ever?  I LOVED it.  It felt like it belonged in some magical Tim Burton movie, like Big Fish or something.  AWESOME visual, and I like how it really stood in contrast for Elena–it was a secret and she was leery of that at first, but it was so beautiful and fun and nonthreatening/nonscary that rather than be a burden to her, it was a sweet bonding moment between her and Bonnie.  And it made total sense that she wanted to tell Bonnie what was going on at that point–you finally felt like their friendship had some substance.  And I loooved Bonnie crawling into bed with Elena and having a quick girl talk.  It wasn’t tiresome, it just kind of got done what it needed to get done and led us forward.  Perfect.”

The CW posted their November Sweeps Highlights.  In doing so, we’ve learned the titles and have a synopsis for the next 2 episodes.  Here’s The Vampire Diaries Episode 9 “History Repeating”.

UPDATE: We have the full episode summary now.

STEFAN LEARNS THE REASON DAMON RETURNED TO MYSTIC FALLS — Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) gets a break from the mysterious new history teacher, Alaric Saltzman (guest star Matt Davis, Legally Blonde) and introduces Alaric to Jenna (Sara Canning). Bonnie (Katerina Graham) is having terrifying dreams about one of her ancestors. Despite Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) efforts to smooth things over, Bonnie and Caroline (Candice Accola) continue to argue over the medallion. When the girls hold a séance to help them decide what to do, the results are stranger than any of them expected. Matt (Zach Roerig) comes to Caroline’s aid when she needs a friend. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) finally reveals to Stefan (Paul Wesley) the stunning reason he has returned to Mystic Falls. Posted on VampireSite.net. Marcos Siega directed the episode written by Bryan M. Holdman & Brian Young (#108).

First I would like to thank Only Paul Wesley for bringing this to our attention. They posted some set pics and a recap from a fan encounter.  Jessica and her daughter Brannan live in the Covington GA area, and were very lucky to happen upon the filming of the Oct 29th episode!!  Check out her pics below and her recap that she was more than happy to provide me with when I contacted her through her myspace!

My daughter and I both love to read. We enjoyed the Vampire Diaires books and couldn’t wait for the show. In the first few weeks as the previews started posting for the show on the CW we were waiting in anticipation! Then the greatest thing ever, our local paper said “The Vampire Diairies to be filmed in Covington, GA!” I couldnt believe my eyes! My daughter Brannan was more excited then I was….then one day right in the middle of our town square in front of “Mystic Grill” stood the very SEXY Ian and Paul! So of course we became the local papparazzi; taking pictures and watching them for hours and hours filming! We had a blast, the episode they were taping actually ended up being the one that will air on Oct 29th.

After a while, I saw Paul Wesley (Stefan) standing over to the side, I told my daughter that, that was our chance. I walked right up to him and asked him if he would mind a few pictures with us. Paul was awesome he put his arm around my daughter and smiled and everything. I really couldn’t have been more pleased with our meeting and he couldnt have been more inviting. It just goes to show you actors really are nice to us small towners. For the sake of my daughter, hopefully we will have more pictures to come. The show is filming 90% of the series here in Covington and so at any possible moment we will be able to try and catch them again. Thankfully the crew was really great about letting us watch and see what was going on! So UNTIL NEXT TIME!

Thanks to @cestwhat for the tip and @onlypaulwesley for the heads up on this red carpet interview from the Scream Awards.  Love it when Ian says he needs to take Paul and Nina down to New Orleans and show them what vampire lore is all about!

A new teen television series on The CW network, The Vampire Diaries based on author L.J. Smith’s 1991 trilogy of books, will be filmed in downtown Covington beginning July 21.

Warner Brothers representatives spoke at Monday’s city council meeting to let the city know its plans and receive tentative permission to film on the square, and on Floyd and Washington streets among other downtown locales.

Representatives said they chose Covington because of the great incentives offered by Georgia and the film-friendly environment of Covington. Bonanza Productions in association with Warner Brothers will film 12 episodes in Covington, and will be shooting from July 21 until around April. Read full article here….

Dear, Idiot

June 29th, 2009 | Posted by Allison (admin) in Miscellaneous - (2 Comments)

To the anonymous idiot who keeps leaving comments like these on this blog post. Please stop.

You do know that twitter is fake? The entire first season is filmed… why would they change shooting locations with the pilot, that means certain homes and schools had to be changed and would make the pilot feel fake. Vancouver is a hell of alot cheaper. Stop beleiving lies and stop going to this trash fansite.

First, I was asked to join the cast of this show as one of the main characters.
Second, the first season was finished in Vancouver and started in Feburary
Third, STOP acting like retards and posting shit from any tweeter account you find, this is a stupid fansite.
Fourth, I will not be responding or checking this

Losers.

The Vampire Diaries director @msiega just posted to @kevwilliamson (who’s been busy ritin’) from his Twitter account that The Vampire Diaries will begin shooting in Georgia in 4 weeks!

@kevwilliamson you need to get some rest! I can’t believe we are four weeks away from shooting episode 1 of Vampire Diaries.

Also, @julieplec just recently posted on her Twitter that she is busy in the Atlanta area scouting locations for Elena’s house.

Headed to Atlanta to find Elena’s house.

So things are going to get moving soon and hopefully we will have lots of spoilers, pics and news to report to you in the coming weeks!
