Vampire Diaries Scoop From the Set Via EW + Candice Accola Video Interview

EW has spent some time on the set of The Vampire Diaries this week. Head on over to EW to watch an adorable interview with Candice Accola. Also, check out what Ian Somerhalder has to say about the possibility of Damon getting Elena.

Neither, however, are taking bets on how long it will be until the Elena-Stefan-Damon love triangle will find resolution. “I want what’s going to be the most interesting to happen,” says Somerhalder. “I don’t really know. Julie [Plec] was here for five days and I didn’t get anything out of her. I think Matt or Tyler or even the family dog would have a better chance of getting Elena than Damon would. The things this man has done to this teenage girl, it’s insurmountable amount of bad.”

Keck’s Exclusive from TV Guide is reporting on an upcoming scene where we find Damon…Naked AND in bed with a hot vamp! Check it.

Ian Somerhalder told me at the People’s Choice Awards that he’d just shot a Vampire Diaries scene where Damon “wakes up naked with another woman who is a hot vampire.” Might this be Katherine? Nina Dobrev (Elena/Katherine) hints, “I can’t say whether or not I’m in that scene, but it is a character fans are familiar with and Elena will definitely have an opinion on it.”

People’s Choice Awards 2012 Photos & Video – Nina Wins Favorite TV Drama Actress!

Last night Nina Dobrev made People’s Choice Awards history, by being the first write-in vote to be added to the ballot and then going on to win her category! So we would like to congratulate Nina for winning Favorite TV Drama Actress and thank all the fans for rallying together, and making this happen! Truly shows the power of the fandom. Unfortunately, The Vampire Diaries or Ian Somerhalder did not win their categories, but that’s ok. We will work harder next year, and we would like to congratulate the CW and Supernatural for their win for Favorite Network TV Drama and Favorite Fantasy/SciFi Show.

Thanks to Nina Dobrev Network and Vampire-Diaries.net (click links to view more) we have photos and video of Nina, Ian and Paul from the event. First video is of Nina winning her award and then we were surprised with a special treat. Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder presented the award for Favorite Comedy Movie in the next video.

Tonight! Ian, Nina and Paul Heading to 2012 People’s Choice Awards

Tonight is the night! The People’s Choice Awards is live tonight on CBS, starting at 9/8c. Not only are Nina and Ian attending, but Paul Wesley is scheduled to appear with them as well, and I have a pretty good feeling they will be presenting! And this is the first time any of the cast of The Vampire Diaries have made an appearance at the awards, so very excited. Last year the People’s Choice Awards were a little confusing, they would announce several awards at one time, so keep your ears and eyes open! Here are the categories we need to look out for.

The Vampire Diaries – Nominated for both Favorite Network TV Drama and Favorite Fanstasy/Sci-Fi TV Show

Ian Somerhalder – Favorite TV Drama Actor

On December 10th, Kat Graham and Ian Somerhalder hosted the event The Ripple Effect, a charity dinner to benefit The Water Project. Several cast members and crew from The Vampire Diaries were also in attendance to show their support for the cause. Michael Trevino, Nina Dobrev, Julie Plec, Kevin Williamson. As well as former guest stars Bianca Lawson and Arielle Kebble. CW Launches Causes to Care About + Happy 33rd Birthday to Ian Somerhalder!

The CW has just recently launched a new feature on their website, Causes to Care About. The page includes several CW actors and information about each cause they support. Vampire Diaries cast members Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Kat Graham and Joseph Morgan are listed.

December 7, 2011 (Burbank, CA) – The CW has launched Causes to Care About, an online destination where viewers can learn more about the charities embraced by the stars of their favorite CW shows, and donate to their favorite causes this holiday season.
Fans can go to causes.cwtv.com to find videos from stars of many of The CW’s primetime shows, in which each actor talks about why their chosen charity is one close to their heart. The site will also link to each actor’s chosen charity, so fans can easily donate directly to them.

Paul Wesley & Ian Somerhalder Announced for Creation’s New Jersey Convention

Heads up New Jersey! Creation Entertainment announced a few weeks ago, that they will be bringing their Official Vampire Diaries Convention to Parsippany, New Jersey and San Francisco, California. As of yet, no guests have been announced for San Francisco, but today, it was announced that both Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder will be appearing at the convention in New Jersey.

The convention is scheduled for August 18 – 19, 2012. Paul and Ian will be appearing on Sunday (Aug  19) only. More guests will be announced later. The event will take place at the luxurious Hilton Parsippany Hotel. A special rate for convention patrons will be available.

Tickets have already gone on sale. You can now purchase their infamous Gold Package. Head on over to the official New Jersey page for all the information!
