Candice Accola Talks Tyler and Caroline with Hollywood Life and TV Guide

Candice Accola chatted with Hollywood Life recently. She talks about whether or not Caroline and Klaus will happen, and can we expect a Tyler and Caroline reunion? We also have a sound bite from this week’s TV Guide Vampire Diaries Bite.

Via Hollywood Life:

“Caroline is really just using Klaus to relinquish Tyler,” Candice says. “She’s playing the game a little bit so that maybe he’ll do that for her out of love. Right now, he’s not really buying it. … If this had been season-one Caroline, she would have fallen hook, line and sinker into that British accent. But season-three Caroline has grown up. … She’s not falling for any of his tricks.”

Vampire Diaries EPs Talk Caroline and Tyler with EW

EW caught up with Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson and they spill on what Tyler and Caroline will be facing when season 3 returns, September 15th.

“We now have a mother who knows her daughter’s a vampire, and we might soon have a mayor who figures out that her son is a werewolf,” Williamson says. “When that happens, it’s certainly building itself to a family feud. That’s the fun Mystic Falls storyline that’s underplaying throughout the entire season.” Adds EP Julie Plec, “When their mothers find out the truth about each of them, they’re gonna have a say in whether the two of them should be together. There’s always going to be push and pull in their friendship as it travels down a romantic road. There’s gonna be people who don’t want them together, including themselves. It’s that forbidden love: we can’t quite stay away from each other, and yet, we shouldn’t be together. And the question will be at what point will they act on that and how will that go?”

Alright, darlings. Lets play a game, shall we? It’s a little game I like to call ‘Last One to Swoon is a Rotten Egg.’ Because to be honest: if your heart didn’t stop for a moment or ten – or in the very least, didn’t skip wildly out of kilter – at the sight of the scene that first greeted us in Episode 13, then quite frankly, dearest, you may want to go get your eyes checked. Because ladies and gentleman, Damon Salvatore is IN da HOUSE. (Please excuse my Kanye speak, people – I know it’s terrible. The equivalent of your nanna quoting PDiddy, really,  but moving on…)

The great thing about Daddy Issues was that it really did cover a lot of plot bases, from the Tyler-who-loves-Caroline-who-loves-Matt-and-Tyler-too-a-little-bit-sort-of triangle, to the epic ongoing tangle of life, unlife and love that is Damon, Elena and Stefan. Okay, so Bonnie and Jer didn’t get much of a showing this week, but it had been seriously noted by Julie Plec that their time was about to come soon – it just wasn’t this episode.

Julie Plec Interview With Zap2It

Zap2It chatted with Julie Plec recently, and she dished on what’s to come as far as the Tyler/Caroline/Matt triangle. Will Matt finally have his moment?

“Matt’s been kind of busing tables on the sidelines for a good portion of this season, trying to understand what’s going on in this non-relationship with this girl that he cares about but doesn’t understand,” Plec says. “We’re about to really heat that up and have him start asking a lot more questions. He’s really trying to get to the bottom of Caroline’s feelings for him and where he wants to them to be as a couple.”

Now that Tyler’s in the doghouse, Matt and Caroline may have another chance at a real relationship. “In the last episode before we go away for hiatus, there’s a really great Matt and Caroline moment that I think will make you very happy,” Plec says.
