This is Ruthie’s sister Allison. As most of our readers know, Ruthie underwent major surgery last week and still has one more surgery to go. Due the seriousness of her illness and the length of recovery time she has ahead of her this website is going to be on temporary hiatus until she is able to start updating regularly again. Also, she will not be updating her twitter account at @tvdfansonline until she is at a point where she is on a good road to recovery. She would like to thank everyone who has sent her messages, called and offered support and prayer. She loves and misses you all.

Jesper on Vampire Diaries-Hi there! I’m wondering if Katherine is coming back to Mystic falls anytime soon, that would to awesome.

Eventually…Vampire Diaries is kind of slow in it’s production schedule so not as much is known (or has even been decided) about the rest of the season compared to say Gossip Girl or One Tree Hill which are currently wrapped up their seasons. Expect the Katherine storyline to extend beyond the season.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – The CW has issued early series renewals to five shows — freshman breakout hit “The Vampire Diaries,” Josh Schwartz’s “Gossip Girl,” sophomore soap “90210,” veteran drama “Supernatural” and the network’s flagship reality staple “America’s Next Top Model.”

All will return next fall.

“Vampire Diaries” quickly became The CW’s most-watched show, averaging 4.6 million viewers. On Thursdays, “Diaries” has aided “Supernatural,” which has improved over last season among the network’s target demo of women 18-34.

Absent from the list: “Melrose Place,” which is considered unlikely to return; “Smallville,” which is very likely to get a 10th season; and “bubble” shows that could go either way, “One Tree Hill” and “Life Unexpected.”
